Sweater Weather?

Summer is the absolute best time for wearing long sleeves.

Okay, well maybe not, but today we’re talking summer sweaters. You may be thinking, summer and sweaters should never be together Mary Claire! Think again.

A summer summer should be a fairly thin, neutral or light colored layer that you can just throw on, without worrying about overheating (think Miley Cyrus in her “Malibu” video). I love wearing bralettes under mine, it gives the illusion of a second layer without the warmth of wearing a tank top or shirt underneath.

For think look, I channeled my inner beach goddess, pairing a very light cream sweater with cutoffs and layered neutral necklaces. Its unexpected open-back detail keeps the outfit from being too heavy and lets me show off my cute bralette.
