Best Lip Products for Summer

During the summer months, I find myself experimenting with bold lip colors quite often. Something about wearing bright pinks, reds, and oranges just instantly puts me in a good mood.

For this post, I’ve compiled my favorite lip products for summer- based on longevity, wearability, and quality of the product. Take a look!

1. Tangerine: Maybelline Baby Lips Electro in Oh! Orange!

I love an orange lip, but the color tends to give my skin a washed out look. Instead, I like this orange tinted lip balm because it gives a hint of color with a lot of moisture, which is perfect for my constantly-chapped lips. Plus, as the product wears off, the hint of color stays put the whole day – double win!

2. Berry: Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry

I have been a fan of Clinique Chubby Sticks ever since they made their debut a couple years back. The marker-like applicator is super easy to use, and I like that the formula feels like a lip balm, but lasts like a lipstick. Super Strawberry is one of my favorite shades because you can apply it lightly for a more natural look, or layer the product for a really striking color.

3. Bright Pink: Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss in Shade 01

This lip product is by far my favorite to apply, mainly because of the really neat applicator tip – and I have to mention that it smells amazing! This electric pink is a perfect statement to add to a simple summer outfit. For daytime, I usually pat a little bit of pink in the middle of my lips and blend so that the color is more subdued. But, for nighttime, I go full color – why not!

4. Cherry Red: Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Color in Are You Red-Dy

ColorSensational products are my favorite drug store lipsticks because of their longlasting, vivid color. I’ve worn this for the entirety of several parties and have never had to reapply – a real accomplishment in the makeup world. This red is so vibrant and happy, and I just love wearing it during the summer with a white sundress, or even with red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July!
